74ft Sport Yacht
Experience the next generation with the 74ft Sport Yacht, now available as a player-controlled vehicle in the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024/2020 series. Marine RM's newest sports yacht has been recreated with high-quality 3D modeling and 4K PBR textures, ensuring a detailed and immersive visual experience, allowing you to walk onto a deck below the waterline with a detailed boat interior with bedroom and bathroom , as well as 10 painting options to enjoy your ride.
The boat is equipped with complete nautical systems, an integrated GPS system and control functions for the anchor, rooftop and auxiliary buoys. Control of the 74ft Sport Yacht is managed by a unique control system developed by Marine RM, designed specifically for nautical operations in the Flight Simulator environment using joysticks, bringing an intuitive and responsive interface that takes the maritime experience to the next level between ease and realism.
Ship control has been optimized to represent enjoyable gameplay. In this sense, the ship's acceleration, its maximum speed (established at 30 knots to facilitate those operating long-distance transfers) and turning capacity were designed for those who want to have fun, despite having in their hands a ship fully detailed and modeled as in the real life. The current water physics is not suitable for a high-level simulation for vessels although there is the intention that this will be worked on when there is an improvement in the game's physical capabilities.
Use the power lever to control acceleration or reverse and the left and right aileron controls to make course changes. It is possible to use the aileron up and down to accelerate the ship over short distances, as well as use the rudder to move the ship laterally to facilitate operation in ports, docks or regions with restricted maneuvering, but keep in mind that the limits water/ground conditions defined by the Flight Simulator environment cause false grounding in seaplanes or any type of water vehicle - as well as passing under bridges or navigating in cities with photogrammetry - this is not a product defect.
Use the support email to speak directly to me about questions, suggestions or any problems, there is a Discord channel for those who want to share more about ships and boats in Microsoft Flight Simulator and there is an FAQ on my website for additional questions.
IMPORTANT: Some users have reported that the function monitor with clickable buttons to activate or deactivate anchors, lights and other functions is not working. This has been caused by a limiter added by Microsoft/Asobo in XML scripts that has also been reported by other developers. There is an ongoing update by Microsoft to fix the problem; please understand that this is not a product defect and we hope that soon the yacht will be working in all its functions.
FAQ
There were several reports from users of unusual situations, but with a similar report: it was impossible to control the boat / the boat stalls in a certain direction - this is not a problem linked to the Add-On itself, but a missing setting in the game standard for more experienced simulations. Piloting assistants disable some features that break the mobility of boats in the water and cause situations where users cannot navigate - and unfortunately they end up, without knowing the reason, blaming the Add-On for this. These images show a recommended configuration for navigating with a keyboard, joystick or other external control hardware, bearing in mind that some of these hardware (especially those with a landing gear lever) may present unusual or unexpected situations due to the nature of the hardware - already that it was designed for runways and airplanes.
